The National Biomass Summit & Expo will join the 37th annual International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo and the Biodiesel & Renewable Diesel Summitthree events in oneat Bioenergy Week, July 13-15, 2021, at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Co-located with the largest biofuels event in the world, the Summit will unite industry professionals from all sectors of the nation's interconnected biomass utilization industries: biobased power, thermal, pellets, biogas/RNG, biofuels and chemicals.
Organized by BBI International and produced by Biomass Magazine, this sister event to the renowned International Biomass Conference & Expo will bring U.S. producers of bioenergy and biobased fuels together with waste generators and biomass aggregators, municipal leaders, utility executives, technology providers, equipment manufacturers, project developers, investors and policy makers. Supported by the attendance of nearly 2,000 industry professionals at Bioenergy Week, the Summit is a can't-miss summer networking junction for all biomass professionals.
As the Biden administration rolls out a new U.S. strategy to combat climate change, the Summit will address the enhanced role bioenergy can and should play in helping the nation "Build Back Better" as it seeks to dramatically reduce its carbon emissions from all sectors of industry and transportation. With the world's growing interest in electric vehicles and utility-scale solar and wind power, there will be a massive corresponding need for renewable baseload energy. Industry experts will discuss this and other key opportunities for biomasslargely derived from U.S. forestry, agriculture and municipal waste.
The National Biomass Summit & Expo will include more than 50 speakers. The program will include technical presentations on topics ranging from anaerobic digestion and RNG to wood pellets, biochar and CHP, all within the larger framework of Bioenergy Week's 150-plus presentations across three events, each open to Summit attendees.
